Volunteers from Treebourne to help care for trees planted in Eastbourne on New Year’s Eve

On Saturday, October 28 from 9am to 12pm volunteers will be caring for the plants that the group planted at Gildredge Park in 2022.

Volunteers will be weeding and collecting damaged tree guards.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Treebourne said: “Join us on Saturday (October 28), from 9am to 12pm, as we care for the trees we planted on New Year's Eve in Gildredge Park.

“We'll be weeding and collecting damaged tree guards. Feel free to come at any time; however, on this occasion, as it's a small planting site, it's possible we might finish a little early. We'll weed around each tree, so please bring a trowel if you have one. We will have plenty of tools available to borrow if needed.

"Tools will be provided but please bring a gardening fork if you have one.”
