An invitation to appear at Cinderella's Ball from Opera South East

OPERA South East's next production will be Rossini's La Cenerentola, the story of Cinderella, to be performed at St Mary in the Castle on Friday November 16 and Saturday November 17.

This will be directed by Fraser Grant.

Auditions will take place on Sunday June 24 at the Taplin Centre, starting at 2pm.

There are just three roles which have still to be cast and these are Alidoro (bass), Cinderella's fairy godfather, and the two ugly sisters, Clorinda (soprano) and Tisbe (mezzo zoprano) who are regarded as being fair of face but vile and black of heart.

Anyone wishing to be considered for any of these roles should contact the Hon Secretary, David Holloway, by phoning him on Hastings 813298.

Closing date for applicants is this Thursday, June 14.

Opera South East is also looking to expand the chorus for this production and any interested people should contact David Holloway or Sandra Lambourne on Hastings 443316.
