WORTHING ARE WHITEWASHED
LARGE winning margins reversed in the Brodie Tray exchange fixtures marked the early start of the Stracey Shield for four of the eight bowls teams on Saturday.
Because Beach House Park Bowling Club will not be available for the final day of the season on August 12, Worthing and Homefield Park needed to play now but both took first-team hammerings. Worthing were whitewashed at Pavilion and Homefield lost 5-1 at defending champions Lancing.
