WICKERS QUICK OFF THE MARK

TWO GOALS in the opening four minutes made Southwick s job far easier at Old Barn Way on Saturday, when the points gained by Wickers pushed them toward first division safety and Arundel s defeat served to underline their frustrating inconsistency.

With the first chance of the game in the third minute, Arundel keeper Andy McCarthy missed a clearance on the edge of the box and Jack Dineen slid the ball into the empty net.

Just 60 seconds later and it was 2-0.
