Vauxhall prize is in league of its own

The car, which has power steering, automatic transmission and a CD player, has been put up as a star prize in the new league at Bognor Regis Leisure Centre.

Senior executive Sunny Mahal, who will be co-ordinating the event for nationwide sponsor Leisure Leagues, has been inundated with inquiries. He said: "We've already had friends from work, local companies and some lads from the pub calling us, as well as more serious local clubs who may want to put a team in.

"We believe this is the first time a prize such as a car has been offered to small-sided teams and it is proving to be hugely popular already."
