Teeing off as new general manager

John, who started his duties on January 2, came from Betchworth Park Golf Club in Dorking, where he held a similar position.

He said: "Worthing has a great reputation in the south as a club which offers challenging all-year-round golf on its two courses, whether you are playing off scratch or have just started.

"New members and visitors are always welcome.

"As I am already finding out, it is a very friendly club.

"I am delighted to have the opportunity as general manager to help build on this reputation, particularly to develop the bar and catering side of the business."

John, who lives in Bognor with his wife and has two grown-up daughters, is also a member of Bognor Golf Club.
