Show aims to raise thousands

ASHINGTON Horse Show takes place on September 7 at Broadbridge Farm. Organised by Storrington Rotary Club, the event will raise money for Riding for the Disabled Association and other Rotary charities.

Last year the annual event raised 3,500 for charity and organisers expect this year's event to be equally well supported.

Entries have been coming in steadily and show schedules can be obtained by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Broadbridge Farm, Ashington, RH20 3DD. Ring 01903 892248 for more information.

There will be working hunter classes, show jumping, gymkhana, clear round jumping and a mini cross-country course. The traditional fun dog show will be another attraction.

Stuart Harrison, one of the organisers, said: "The ground is good for the event at present, despite rain, for there has been plenty of sun and wind to ensure perfect conditions."
