SHORT EYES TOP THREE

ARUNDEL Football Club manager Vic Short has challenged his side to finish in the top three of the County League and his rival boss on Saturday, Wick's Andy Gander, wants his team to end up within the top six.

Short admits there are up to eight teams who could still claim it. He said: "We've got 14 games left and it's important to finish in the top three because then we will get byes in the FA Cup and FA Vase.

"Whitehawk, Littlehampton, Wick, Eastbourne Town, Hassocks and a few other sides will be thinking the same, though. Crowborough have picked up with a couple of good wins and there's up to eight sides who will still look to finish third.

"I'm looking forward to the rest of the season and hope we are able to keep a settled side, although it would be nice to get a couple more fit."
