Quality play at badminton event

THE hugely successful Bexhill Badminton Tournament continued to conjure up some high-quality performances during the second weekend of finals.

Eight titles were decided over an action-packed two days as the standard of play remained remarkably high.

The highlight was the men's singles B final, described by event organiser Brian Hobden as "an absolutely fantastic game which had the De La Warr Pavilion on its feet." Charlie Kenward (scratch) ultimately prevailed 10-15, 15-13, 15-8 in a three game epic with Wayne Holman (-three).
