No 2 David roasts for his men

VICE-CAPTAIN David Marshallsay sweltered for 113 minutes in the middle for Worthing in leadership of the bid to hold back leaders Lewes Priory at the Stanley Turner on Saturday.

His 86 off 76 balls made Lewes toil just as much and sent Worthing towards 249 all out, in reply to which Lewes gave up the chase with 20 overs still left.

Marshallsay, deputising for unavailable new captain David Rogers, came in at No 3 and shared a stand of 148 with Ollie Rogers, whose 46 did not include a tickled inside edge signalled as four byes.
