Sussex Under-16s excelled in a match against Cambridgeshire U16s at Littlehampton Golf Club when all five pairs won their morning foursomes matches comprehensively.
After lunch the stage was set for a great afternoon of singles. Captain Stuart Barber led the way with a fine 6 & 4 win and was ably supported by Josh Goldsmith 7&5, Ollie Hayes 5&4, Lewis Jackson 4&2, and Adam Galbraith 4&3
Matt Goodley made a fine county debut winning 3&2 while Sam Dix won 2up and Ed Reyes won 2&1. Only Ross Mist and Ollie Rogers lost in the afternoon but they both put in good performances losing 3&2 and 2&1. Sussex won the match 26 pts to 4 pts.
