We've got to step up for massive games - Glenn Murray

Albion’s 2-1 defeat at Leicester on Tuesday evening stretched their winless run to seven games, but Murray remained positive ahead of some big games between now and the end of the season.

Albion entertain bottom-of-the-table Huddersfield on Saturday and then also face Crystal Palace and Southampton in the league in March.

The 35-year-old said: "They are all big games from now, it doesn't matter if they are down there with us or not. They are all massive games. We've got to step up to it now.

"It's still in our hands. It's not like we are going into the last three games and we've got Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal.

"We've got winnable games and it's down to us and hard work on the training pitch, sticking together and being honest with one another and turning this around, especially with our home games.

"It's very small margins but they are the major areas, our penalty box and their penalty box, and unfortunately at the moment we are making a few grave errors in both of them."

Albion have a number of games still to play at the Amex which will be deemed as winnable, including Huddersfield, Southampton, Cardiff, Newcastle and Bournemouth.

Murray said: "There are still a lot of points to play for. We are talking as if we are going into the last game needing four points.

"We've just got to remain as one and be honest with one another behind closed doors, which we have been, and then we've got to react off our current run of form."
