More than 3,300 tickets sold for replay

Hastings United have now sold more than 3,300 tickets for their FA Cup second round replay at home to Harrogate Town on Thursday.

The uptake from football fans in the area has been phenomenal and the club says it now seems inevitable that it will be a sellout before the day of the game.

United chairman Dave Walters said: “As of 5pm on Friday, the club have sold over 3,300 tickets for the replay. As the capacity is a little under 4,000, it now seems inevitable that it will be a sellout before the day of the game.”

Tickets will be on sale to paying spectators at today’s Ryman League Premier Division game against Concord Rangers from 1-5pm.

Depending on sales today, the club may not open on Sunday as previously planned and will endeavour to get information to supporters via the club website and social media.

Walters added: “Anyone wishing to attend the Harrogate replay and has yet to buy a ticket is strongly urged to buy a ticket as early as possible at today’s game.”

United are the lowest ranked team left in the world famous competition having so far won five matches during a remarkable run.

If they can pull off a sixth victory against a Harrogate side which plays its football in Blue Square Bet North, the U’s will travel to Championship high-flyers Middlesbrough in round three.
