Two goals apiece from Paul Elliott and Nick Tilley, plus a Jamie Groves penalty and a late strike from Luke Hickling saw Hurst set up a final against Clymping on Wednesday (May 15).

Hurst were good value for their 4-0 half time lead in Saturday’s semi-final. Early goals from Elliott and Tilley set them on their way, Groves slotted home number three from the penalty spot after Darren Annis had been fouled, before Tilley lashed in his second just before the break.

The hosts took their foot off the gas in the second half, allowing an improved Southwick to score two goals.

But it was always comfortable, with man of the match Luke Hickling causing the visitors no end of problems on either wing.

Hickling crossed for Elliott to score his second before the Billingshurst winger rounded off the scoring late on.

Wednesday’s final will be played down at Worthing FC against a Clymping side who finished one place below Billingshurst in the Division 3 table and knocked out Barnham in the other semi-final.
