With Baldwin looking on course for a winning start as boss, Ellis Cowd had other ideas and got Peacehaven level five minutes from time. Cowd then notched two minutes later to give Peacehaven the lead.

Wick skipper Lee Bradshaw then stepped up to hammer home less than a minute later to end a frantic final 15 minutes as the points were shared.

Wick boss Baldwin felt his side showed great character fighting back and said: “It’s two points dropped but after going behind so late we showed great character to get back in it.

“We seem to be lacking self confidence at the moment, I feel that can only improve with some positive results but I’m sure we’ll turn things around.”

Both Baldwin and Wesley Hallett took caretaker charge for Wick’s 4-0 home league defeat at the hands of Eastbourne Town on Saturday.

Christopher Cummings-Bart bagged a brace, while Sean Ray and Tyler Capon both netted to condemn Wick to a loss.

Ray broke the deadlock on seven minutes, before Cummings-Bart got his first ten minutes after the break.

Cummings-Bart then got his second and Town’s third eight minutes later.
