EP suffer first defeat

EAST PRESTON FC manager Chris White felt his side deserved a point on Monday when they lost for the first time in his reign.

White was unhappy with the result but has been pleased with the start his side have made. He said: "I think we could have had a point and I'm disappointed we didn't get anything.

"Overall I'm pleased with four wins from our first five league games."

EP took the lead on 33 minutes after an excellent team move. Roy Pook, James Rhodes, Dan White and Josh Biggs were all involved before Phil Churchill volleyed home his third goal of the season.

Richard Thomas ran through to level for Hassocks seconds before half-time although there was a suspicion of offside. It was the first league goal EP had conceded this season.
