Harry Finch was part of the England side which finished second in a triangular tournament also involving Pakistan and hosts UAE.

St Leonards-based Finch featured in six of England’s seven matches, making some handy contributions with bat and ball. England won two of their three games against UAE, but lost all four to Pakistan.

Finch scored seven runs batting at number three and took 2-14 off four overs with the ball as England began their campaign with a 42-run win over UAE in Abu Dhabi.

The 18-year-old was out for a second ball duck in the three-wicket defeat to Pakistan at the same venue a day later, but then claimed 2-20 from five overs and scored eight with the bat as England beat UAE by seven wickets in Sharjah.

Finch hit 42 opening the batting and conceded 14 runs from two overs as England lost by 47 runs to Pakistan, also in Sharjah. He then made 35 off 34 balls, again at the top of the order, against UAE in Dubai and took 1-27 off 2.3 overs - dismissing home captain Rohit Singh for 70 - but the hosts scraped home by three wickets with three balls to spare.

Finch returned figures of 1-33 from seven overs and scored nine opening the batting as England again lost to Pakistan, this time by 90 runs in Dubai. He wasn’t involved as England went down by 97 runs against Pakistan in the final.
