CRAWLEY ATHLETES RECEIVE AWARDS

CRAWLEY athletes Charlotte Best and Hannah Brooks have been selected by Dame Kelly Holmes to receive 'On Camp with Kelly' Excellent Achievement Awards, supported by Norwich Union, in recognition of their performances this season.

Charlotte improved her personal best to 2:01.66 earlier in the season and won the gold medal at the Norwich Union England Athletics Under 23 Championships.

At the European Athletics Under 23 Championships she finished fifth in the 800m final. Charlotte has been involved in double Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes' 'On Camp with Kelly' mentoring scheme since in began in 2004.

Hannah ran brilliantly to win her 800m heat at the European Athletics Junior Championships in a new personal best of 2:05.59 but was then unfortunately restricted by a hamstring injury in the final. She also won a silver medal at the Norwich Union England Athletics Under 20 Championships.

She joined 'On Camp with Kelly' in 2005 and was one of six athletes who attended the Educational Camp at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne in March 2006.
