Their poor start of five points from their opening seven league games may come back to haunt them. However, since then they have lost just one of their last 12 games, winning eight.

At home to second-bottom Wadhurst, Rustington were 1-0 down at half-time but an excellent second-half performance gave them a comfortable victory.

Wadhurst had taken a surprise lead after just seven minutes. After confusion on the right, Tincombe shot low past unsighted Rustington keeper Andy McCarthy.
