Alcorn wins International Schools title
KAYLEY ALCORN jumped to the Schools Home International triple jump title in Grangemouth, Scotland, on Saturday with an equalling personal-best distance of 11.88m.
Jumping in the competition for England, her jump is also a Sussex Senior record and was 45cm more than the runner-up. It was 2cm further than she managed when she won the English Schools title at Gateshead the previous weekend. It was Alcorn's debut representing England.
Alcorn said: "I jumped okay but it wasn't brilliant. I was blocking after my step which meant my jump didn't get away. There's still more to come."
