World-wide attention for Billie's big day

Reporters and photographers from all over Europe had descended on the village, where the couple have made their home, and the village became the focus of the world.

West Sussex well-wishers lined the streets, hoping for a glimpse of the bridal pair, and the many celebrities attending the wedding.

The ceremony was in the historic priory of the Church of St Mary, where the Rev Derek Welsman officiated on a bright but chilly day.

Guests arrived in coaches and among them were Kevin Whately, who is starring alongside the bridegroom in Lewis, the TV detective sequel to Morse. David Tennant, alias Dr Who, was also among guests arriving to see his former co-star marry for a second time.
