Village shop conversion in latest Arun plans

PLANS to convert the Village Stores, in Sea Road, East Preston, to residential use are among the latest applications submitted to Arun District Council in the Gazette area.

The list this week also includes:

ANGMERING: convert public access W.C.s and store room into a letting suite, and alteration of window at front elevation, Lamb Inn, The Square. Also, listed building consent application for same.

ARUNDEL: listed building consent application for rearrangement of ground-floor flat, to make self-contained studio flat, 45 Maltravers Street.

BARNHAM: demolish three garage/storage buildings and build replacement garage with two solar panels and ancillary residential first floor games room, Grove House, Highground Lane.

EAST PRESTON: first-floor extension, providing a reduced garden room on the ground floor, three new bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor; removal of pitched roof and replacement with lower, mono pitched/flat roofs, Sandgate House, South Strand (re-submission, following EP/70/12).

Change of use from retail to ground floor two-bedroom flat, with alterations to remove shopfront and install domestic windows, The Village Stores, 2 Sea Road.

EASTERGATE: application to remove condition 5, previously imposed under planning application EG/54/12 (surface water drainage), 11 Wentworth Close, Barnham.

FORD: remove three antennae and replace with six antennae in the same position, radio base station, Sewage Treatment Works.

KINGSTON: ground-floor rear extension, rear conservatory, replacement of flat roof over garage with new pitched roof, to provide additional accommodation, Fiddlers Green, Golden Acre, East Preston.

LITTLEHAMPTON: approval of reserved matters, following outline approval LU/355/10 for 31 dwellings (phase 1), for layout, scale, appearance and landscaping, pursuant to condition 1, Courtwick Lane, land south of railway line (this is a departure from the development plan).

Off-street parking space, vehicular cross-over and alterations to boundary wall, 14 Fitzalan Road.
