UPDATE: Three people taken to hospital after Lyminster crash

Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash which injured three people in Lyminster this afternoon (Saturday, July 30).

Emergency services were called to the A284 Lyminster Road shortly after 2pm to reports of a three-vehicle collision.

Sussex Police officers, South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews attended the scene.

A Sussex Police spokeswoman said three people were treated at the scene and later taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

At this stage, none of the injuries are thought to be life-threatening, the spokeswoman said.

A fire service spokeswoman confirmed crews attended the scene to give assistance to paramedics, although none of the casualties were trapped inside the vehicles.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.

The collision involved a silver Volkswagen transporter, a white Honda civic and a grey Citroen C4.
