June Lane, from junction with Rumbold Hill and Petersfield Road has been temporarily prohibited from today (January 31).

The effect of the road closure will be 24 hours meaning that the road will reopen on Wednesday, February 1.

The emergency closure has been put into place to allow Southern Water to repair leak on a comm pipe in the carriageway.

Emergency vehicle, residential and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative traffic routes will be signposted for road users throughout the duration of the road closure.

The notice for the road closure will be in effect for a maximum of 21 days given from the date when the repair works on the road began.
