The works on Carlisle Parade first started on May 8 after a road collision took out the main traffic lights, according to East Sussex Highways.
Motorists have said the roadworks by the junction of Havelock Road and Carlisle Parade have been causing congestion along the stretch of road since they started almost a month ago.
East Sussex Highways said the works are due to finish by 11.59pm tonight (Friday, June 2).
