Caravans parked at a site in Burgess Hill have been told to leave, West Sussex County Council has said.

A message on the council’s website, where people can report unauthorised traveller sites, said that four caravans are currently parked at Malthouse Lane Meadows.

An update on Monday, July 24, said: “All have been served with a notice requiring them to vacate the land. Should they fail to do so, court proceedings will commence. We will continue to monitor the site together with Sussex Police.”
