A27 collision by Polegate: Woman taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries

A woman has been taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries following a multiple-vehicle collision on the A27 by Polegate, according to police.

Officers said they received a report of a collision at around 10.30am on Monday, June 27.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said, “The collision involved multiple vehicles and resulted in a road closure in both directions. It has since re-opened.

“A woman, driving one of the vehicles, was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries.

“Anyone with dashcam footage or information is urged to email [email protected], quoting serial 491 of 27/06.”

According to the AA there was congestion to the Cop Hall Roundabout and back along Eastbourne Road.
