A LARGE lorry hit a train bridge causing long delays to rail services in the area.

The lorry hit the bridge in Amberley at around midday today (Monday, May 19), which caused all services along the route to be stopped immediatley.

The line re-opened at 12.30pm after an engineer from Network Rail inspected the site and found no damage.

Rail replacement buses were available from Horsham to Barnham, stopping at all stations in between.
