Swimming gala win for Shoreham children

Pupils in years five and six at Buckingham Park Primary, Shoreham, won 28 out of 38 races in the local primary schools swimming gala.

"The whole thing was such a lovely atmosphere," said Sarah Thomas, a PE co-ordinator at Buckingham Park.

"All of the children from all of the schools cheered for everybody.

"Everyone was just celebrating swimming."

Thirty children from Buckingham Park competed against pupils from Eastbrook Primary School, Southwick, Glebe Primary School, Southwick, and St Peter's Roman Catholic Primary School, Shoreham, to take home the trophy.
