Success for charity festival

Organised by Ashley McFaite and Amber Hoad the event raised 1,930.

Ashley and Amber need to raise at least 3,000 for the Sara Lee charity in order for them to gain a place in next year's London marathon.

Those attending the festival were entertained with live music provided by local band 'Slam'; hot food, a fully licensed bar and top raffle prizes ensured the evening was a great success.

Amber said: " We would like to thank everyone who, despite horrendous weather conditions, turned up and supported us. We'd also like to say thank you for all the great prizes gratefully received from businesses who generously donated to the raffle, there's so many to mention. It was a great night out."
