School top of the class for attendance

BOUNDSTONE Community College is the most improved school in the country in terms of attendance '“ and that's official.

Figures show attendance at the school, in Upper Boundstone Lane, Lancing, has risen from 83 per cent last year to more than 90 per cent.

The college had been part of a national school improvement strategy, monitored by the Department for Education and Skills.

Head teacher Richard Evea said: "I am relieved about the fact that we have made that progress."
