Officer in Charge of Rye Sea Cadets Chief Petty Officer Steve Smith said: “Being one of Rye’s last remaining youth groups, It is important to show the people of Rye how its young people can be engaged in positive activities, and the young cadets themselves didn’t hesitate when the call for help went out.

“The cadets covered a number of two hour slots around Rye Town in some rather miserable weather collecting over £500.
