A total of eight bikes have been donated by personnel serving at RAF Odiham, in Hampshire, to the RAF Benevolent Fund’s Princess Marina House, in Seafield Road.

The home offers two self-catering holiday cottages for RAF families to unwind and spend some quality time together.

Warrant Officer Joe Lambley-Steel has worked with the Princess Marina House team for four years and said he was a ‘staunch supporter’ of theirs.

“They manage an outstanding facility which provides accommodation for service families who just need quality time together,” he said. “The donation of the cycles was a reason to get families out of cars and to enjoy the benefits of cycling.”

House manager Shirley Steeples said: “Our cottages have everything a family could want inside them – modern kitchens and bathrooms, tranquil bedrooms, and play stations and play rooms for kids. And thanks to the generosity of RAF Odiham, our guests can now get out and about on bicycles to enjoy the seaside or cycle into town for lunch.”
