Rare fungus found on walk
A FUNGUS that originated from Australia was discovered by a couple out walking in Iping on Friday.
David and Sue Johnston of Orchard Close, Petworth, were on Iping Common when Mrs Johnston spotted the Devil's Fingers fungus, which is rarely found in the south of England.
Mr Johnston said: "It was identified for us by a gardener who was working nearby and we thought West Sussex Gazette readers might be interested to know of the find."
