‘Queen’ drops by for school Jubilee street party
PUPILS and parents at Mountfield and Whatlington School celebrated the Diamond Jubilee in true village school style with a street party in the shade of the trees on the school field on Monday afternoon.
All the children dressed up in costumes with a Jubilee theme and paraded around the field before being presented to the ‘Queen’, otherwise known as senior teacher Mrs Bonnick.
A group of children from Ash Class performed some Tudor dancing and children from across the school had a jousting tournament to entertain the crowd.
