The Environment Agency warned this morning (Friday) that water levels on the river could rise by a few centimetres – but they say they should fall again this evening.
However it says that the river will not return to a normal level until next week.
A spokesperson said: “Some roads, including the A29 at Pulborough, may become impassable."
