Prize pooches at horticultural show

A good-sized crowd attended the event which featured plenty of locally grown flowers, vegetables and fruit, including a comeback by the village's very own Newick Leveller gooseberry.

The Leveller is grown at Sheepgate Fruit Farm, and villagers have taken cuttings from the plant in attempt boost the numbers of this local favourite.
