Kevin Dixon wins Battle town by-election

Kevin Dixon has been elected to represent Battle Town Ward at Rother District Council.

The by-election took place on Thursday, July 16, following the resignation of the previous councillor for the ward.

The Liberal Democrat candidate took the seat with 751 votes out of the 1,301 cast, 57 per cent of the vote.

The turnout was 32.26 per cent.

Kevin Paul Dixon (Liberal Democrat) - 751

Hazel Marjorie Sharman (Conservative) - 342

Tony Smith (UKIP) - 107

Timothy Gordon MacPherson (Labour) - 100
