5. Dan Weir, Heritage Party candidate for Bewbush & North Broadfield
"Hello, I’m Dan, and I’m proud to stand for the ward of Bewbush & Broadfield North. A lifelong resident of Crawley, I’ve witnessed our community’s evolution first-hand. Raised in Bewbush and now living in Broadfield for over 23 years, I’m deeply connected to our town and its people. Joining the Heritage Party aligns with my values of free speech, lower taxes, and better education, ensuring safer neighbourhoods. As a single father to two daughters, I prioritise creating a secure environment for families. Through collaboration and dedication, I’m confident we can enact positive changes benefiting everyone in our community.”Also standing in Bewbush & North Broadfield: Arshad Khan (Justice Party) Photo: submitted
6. Kiran Khan - Labour & Cooperative Party - Broadfield
Broadfield is my home, I have lived here for my entire life and it has been the greatest privilege to have represented our neighbourhood on the Council for the last three years. I have always put our community’s interests first and will continue to do so if re-elected. I have been active in our residents’ association, Talk Broadfield, for many years as it is important to listen to resident’s voices. I will always be available, accessible and happy to assist with issues. Photo: submitted
7. Valerie Susan Knight - Conservative - Broadfield
This is the third time I have stood for election in Broadfield and I am the clear challenger to a complacent Labour party, whom many residents feel take Broadfield for granted.Local housing costs have soared under Crawley’s Labour council, with hefty rises yet again this year for council rents. We have also seen a slowdown in the provision of new social housing in Crawley, with only a very small number of new units completed last year. I will champion better treatment for renters, whether that is social or private renters, and press the council to be fairer when setting rents. I will also seek to ensure that new housing is in the right places. We are also seeing Labour charging inflation busting rises for other services such as garage rents. If elected, I will press for the council to keep all rises in their fees and charges below inflation. Photo: subnitted
8. Carolina Morra (Heritage Party) - Broadfield
The reason why I am standing for the Heritage Party is: firstly because I found a party I can identify myself with as it supports families, freedom of speech and the nation. It is inspired to protect and help local and national businesses, and it has strong policies on how to ensure financial responsibility in government, restore common sense to our nation, and support local communities in solving local issues. Secondly, I lost faith in the major parties that generally put the interests of banks and major organisations before the interests of the people (who pay taxes) and the sovereignty of our nation. Also standing in Broadfield: Christopher James Ellis (Trade Unionist & Socialist Coalition) Photo: submitted
