Police follow 'armed incident' driver

A MAN wanted by police following an alleged firearm incident in Hastings was tailed through Bexhill before his arrest by armed officers.

Monday's incident began at 11.30am after details of a green SEAT Cordoba were circulated to police.

Later, police in an unmarked car spotted the Cordoba on the A259 at Little Common.

They followed it through Little Common Road, King Offa Way and De La Warr Road to Glyne Gap.

Armed officers stopped the Cordoba in Bexhill Road, St Leonards. The driver was arrested and taken to Hastings police station for interview.

*NINETEEN-year-old Dorjan Ndoj, accused of robbery and a firearms offence, was remanded in custody on Tuesday by Hastings magistrates.

Ndoj, of Bohemia Road, is charged with robbing Thomas O'Donnell of a Seat Cordoba car valued at 682.

He is also charged with having a firearm or imitation firearm - namely a handgun - with the intention of carrying out an indictable offence - namely robbery - while he had the firearm or imitation firearm with him.

Ndoj was remanded in custody until a hearing at Lewes Crown Court on Thursday next week.
