PICTURE: Worthing's winning artists

TO celebrate its centenary year, an art competition was held at Worthing Museum and Art Gallery.

Almost 375 artists of all ages submitted entries for the three themes in the centenary open art exhibition earlier this year.

The number was gradually whittled down and the two winners and two runners up from each category got together at the museum for a photograph.

The winners of the Reflection theme were Karen Munck and Davison High School's head of art, Angela Harrison.

The winners of the Worthing Today theme were Valerie Ann Hedger and Maggie Tredwell.

The winners of the Moving On theme were William F. Pearce and Anthony Bennett, both Worthing residents.
