Other staff and stunned customers who were in the bookmakers at the time were unharmed, but shocked.

The first man is described as 5ft 8in tall, of medium build and wearing blue jeans, black gloves, a navy hoody with the hood up and a black balaclava-like face mask with holes cut for the eyes.

A CCTV image shows him carrying a white bag and it is believed he had a small, black pistol type gun in his left hand.

The second man was at least 6ft tall, of stocky build, wearing a dark green or black overcoat, tracksuit trousers, trainers, black gloves and a balaclava with the eye holes cut out.

From their voices, it is believed that both men were white.
