Petrol station raider steals charity boxes

A BURGLAR stole cash, cigarettes and two charity collection boxes from a petrol station in the early hours of Sunday.

Police were called to the Offham Road Service Station off the A275 at around 3am and found the door was open and debris was scattered across the forecourt.

The service station had been ransacked and the thief got away with about 280 worth of tobacco products, 180 in cash and two charity boxes containing cash.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact 0845 6070999.
