We want our peace back

MP Nick Herbert saying he is going to tackle the "nuisance of the Bury bikers" (Gazette, May 10) sounds like a really worthwhile thing to do, what with them phoning each other of speed traps laid to catch them.

What he did not mention is that a list of all speed traps is published in the local paper (the Gazette being one) and on the DVLA web site, so there would be no need to phone each other.

Also, as he said, himself: "'I am sure that it is only a minority of bikers who are involved."

Now I can understand that not all people have a love of motorcycles.

But siting a speed camera in Bury is not going to restore the tranquillity, or remove the train horns he mentioned.
