Sure it will be rectified

OVER the last few months I have read the whingeing letters from the no-change brigade regarding the seafront and describing it as 'looking like a builders' site' etc.

Of course it was: something was being built.

In the Observer of December 31, Alastair Brown complained about the filthy state of certain areas which given the weather we have had and the Christmas/New Year break is not surprising.

I am quite sure this will be rectified when work resumes.

He complains about poor workmanship to walls, inadequate grouting and poorly fitted benches.

I presume Mr Brown took his magnifying glass, spirit level, ruler etc with him on his detailed inspection.

He writes regarding trip hazards - has he walked outside his home in West Parade?

If he has he will see most paving stones are not level and a lot broken.

Perhaps he should complain about this as it is a downright more dangerous hazard.

I use the promenarde to walk for fitness five days a week and think it will look great to forward-thinking people.
