Smoking issues

I have been staying in Littlehampton and am shocked at how many smokers there are everywhere I walk.

So much so, that I may well have inhaled a fair share of fag smoke myself.

It isn’t a pleasant experience. A recent report on the BBC said that e-cigarettes are helping smokers to give up, but I have seen little evidence of e-smokers, here – apart from a young, smartly dressed lad, surreptitiously trying one outside his house!

The report also stated that the best way to give up is to join the NHS ‘give up smoking’ programme – adding that the scheme was currently under-subscribed.

May I suggest that the local NHS ‘give up smoking’ team regularly patrol Littlehampton High Street.
