The article in last week’s paper on the partial reopening of local schools, shows that East Sussex is far from ready on a number of fronts.

If the lead councillor on education cannot answer a question on something as basic as safety measures on school transport, what is the likelihood of being able to guarantee a safe environment for staff, parents and children in our schools?

The government are assuring us that it is safe.

Four months ago those same ministers were saying the same thing about care homes.

That didn’t end well either.
