Lots of interest was shown during the event at Paradise Park and a host of customer questions were answered by experts Gary and Maria Firth, David and John, and other members of the society during the day.

“There were sensational Catleya orchids and small scented varieties to delight the visitors on the busy weekend, as well as a special display and offers in the houseplant area”, explains plant manager, Mark Curtis.

“Some customers brought in their prize varieties for expert perusal and the society also had a good interest in new membership.”

Dr. Gary Firth holds the National Collection of Gongorra orchids from Peru and will be at the Royal Horticultural Society Hampton Court show exhibiting endangered plants on the Plant Heritage stand.
