Memories of Horsham Market
During the war it was the home of Benson’s Fair and was open most of the time. Mr Benson used to be in charge of the bumper cars, I believe they had the caravans in which they lived in.
The market had all kinds of stalls, Mr Standford had a greengrocer’s as well as a shop in East Street.

What a pity it was all knocked down with the little houses in Piries Place, they call it progress!
My very happy days in Horsham are not forgotten.
