LETTER: Grateful for help of kind strangers
I broke down at the roundabout crossing the A24 when a gentleman who I only know as Patrick stopped behind me and asked if he could help. Firstly he pushed me into the Shell Garage and although neither of us had mobiles we went into the shop and the assistant there lent us his.
Patrick then telephoned my daughter in Crawley who found the Green Flag telephone number and after a lot of questions he got them to say that they would be with me within the hour. He informed my daughter who drove over from Crawley where I could sit in a warm car until Green Flag arrived.
It is really wonderful that two strangers could be so kind to an 82 year old gentleman and I cannot thank them enough. I just hope that they read the letters section.
